    Planting some things today in a little plot I filled up with cow manure last year. Its near the house and will be easy to cover in case of a frost or freeze. Its on !!

          Todays purchases: Four varieties of seed potatoes, three type of onion bulbs and two different types of onion sets and some shell beans. Ive got to cut up the seed potatoes and let them sit for a few days to scab over prior to planting in time for St Paddy day weekend. Oh yeah, bought some urea and triple super phosphate to get my soil up to snuff according to the Missouri Extension soil test.

                  I'll be planting all season, you dont want everything ripening at once. Stagger those planting. I spent the entire day on the garden and didnt plant a thing except some horseradish a buddy gave me.

                    I doubt I'll even be able to keep up with harvesting all of this, lol. By far more than I've ever done. Lots of learning this year.

                        Found this one today, going to pick it up in the morning. It has numerous setting for spacing. Got it fairly cheap, might have to spin it.

                                OK, as of 3/25 I’ve planted the following cool weather plants :
                                Broccoli
                                200 green onion sets
                                2 separate plots of mustard greens ( red giant ) and spinach
                                2 different types of radishes
                                Black seeded simpson ( lettuce )
                                100 feet of onion bulbs , three types, white, yellow, purple
                                Collard greens
                                Little wonder peas ( the type you eat the whole pod )
                                200 feet of potatoes , four different types, Cobbler, Pontiac, Yukon gold, Kennebec
                                100 feet of cabbage ( approx. 50 plants )
                                100 feet of cauliflower ( approx. 50 plants )
                                100 feet of # 9 progress ( shell peas )
                                Organic sugar pod peas ( can’t remember name )
                                Yet to plant in a couple of weeks:
                                Tomatoes
                                Peppers
                                Sweet corn
                                Four or five types of shell beans ( can’t remember w/o checking )
                                Basil, parsley, cilantro, chives
                                Carrots
                                Turnips
                                Beets
                                Cucumbers
                                Cantaloupe
                                Flower seeds too numerous to mention and some other things I cant think of .
