most cars arent forged actually wrx isnt eclipse turbo isnt either both are all cast. bpt isnt either just the crank and thats rare. some turbo dodges have all forged they were the 2.5s with mahle pistons. some of the newer subarus are and some sr20 have forged cranks too. its all in tuning and a little expierience most people dont have, i do. my first turbo kit i made was on a 93 subaru impreza base model 80000 miles to start, 1.8 5 speed. it ran 8 to 10 psi for 30000 hard miles and the only reason it broke was the wastegate acctuator got a leak. (the turbo was off of a saab at the junkyard with alot of miles) and the boost spiked to 24psi. it spanked modded wrx,s all day. we turned a corner and laid on the skinny one the thing took off spinning the inside tires and we looked at each other and were like holy crap. as we pulled into the parking lot the idle was rough and it was smoking a little, rings were done.. lesson learned use a new wastegate. i have built a few more kits with success and helped buddies with a few more.. wideband tuning and a little listening will let you kno how much boost your allowed.. b3 on a 50shot is the same as 8psi. and i have seen that.. its going to happen this next weekend and i just got a new video camera so i will be posting some befor pics and some after boost video. we are going to turbo it with the stock ecu first if it runs well than we are going to add the bp ecu and distributor.. this is a research deal and i bet everyone will be surprise at what they see.. things can go bad but i doubt they will.. in my opinion a mega squirt would be a waste of effort and green.. after all is said and done we will be selling the first kit complete and after that just the manifolds..

Autos are actually better for turbo engines in a way, just hold that pedal down and it keeps the turbo spooled. With a manual you have to let off the gas and shift.
My gf's turbo dodge shadow is auto.
My only fear is if the festy auto can take the additional power.91GL BP/F3A with boost
