Well, an 8"-wide wheel is really closer to 8.5" overall (the 8" is a measurement inside the wheel lip) and with the 0mm offset you would have 4.25" of wheel towards the strut (which shouldn't be a problem) and 4.25" from the hub out. The wheels would stick out a good 2" past the fenders.

forgive me, i dont know much about tires and all that. what exactly is offset and how is that done? same with spacers. what WOULD fit with no issues on a regular setup? im not ready to do all of the mods but im kinda looking at getting a set of rims to spruce the car up when i get my paint job done hopefully in summer

^ Yeah, I meant that they won't work with the stock setup.

              No issues? A 13" x 5" wheel with a 165/65-13 tire. Yes, such a size exists.

              http://www.tirerack.com/tires/Spec.j...Potenza%20RE92

Offset is how much from the center the wheel mounting flange is. It's usually measured in millimeters.

Positive offset would mean that more of the rim sticks out away from the car. It's usually stated with a minus ( - ) sign. Like -25MM. In this example, just about 1 inch of the rim width will be toward the outside of the car (toward the fender).

Negative offset would mean that more of the rim is in toward the axle/strut area. Usually listed with a plus ( + ) sign.

The rim/tire combo above is very close to the stock size and is narrow enough to fit well with the typical sub compact wheel (approximately 13" x 5" with a +45 MM offset).

A spacer moves the wheel out away from the car (it goes between the wheel and the hub).

For absolutely no fitment issues? Yes, that size would work.

There are other sizes that would work too.

If you want to keep the stock rims, another size that would work is 155/80-12. It's slightly taller, but fits fine (it's what's on my car now).

                    I don't think TireRack carries 13" rims.

                    Here's a few...

another size available is 175/60/13 slightly wider, and slightly shorter, but better traction.

                        I am assuming 15/6.5 4x100/114 with a 40 offset will fit.
