You may hate wiring but you have the experience and "talent" if you will to track down why some of the wiring is not cooperating. I've thrown in towels because of this sort of thing. You're getting there, it will be nice to see the end result.1993 GL 5 speed

Thanks, and yes i will get this swap finished despite the wiring issues, i'm in too deep to give up now lol, just gotta figure out which ECU pins are for the TPS and the other connectors and i'll be good to go

A colleague of mine was gloating about the great deal he just got on an uncertified but e-test-passed 02 Protege. We looked underneath and the subframe under the front floor (on both the drivers and passenger side) was completely rotted out. Car looks great from the outside but in reality is on the verge of breaking in half. Are they known for this?
He wasn't even remotely gloating when he left, and I have no desire to try bolting a much newer 2.0 litre Mazda engine into anything I own either.

I'm not sure if its a common problem or not, but mine is in great condition underneath, the only spot that i believe is common for rusting is the rear whel wells (mine is starting to rust there, but it's not bad yet) and around the rear emblem

So i got my pin-out diagram and i've been digging through the harness a bit more, and i think i'll end up cutting the harness all apart and re-wiring everything myself
It seems that the sensors/selenoids get power from multiple points in the harness and tracking them all down with be a real PITA with the possibility that i'll miss something here or there, so by re-building the harness to how i want it, i won't miss anything

Thanks maxim but I already found all the diagrams I need
Ive spent this afternoon working on more wiring, it's coming along and I've got 90% of it figured out, a couple more hours and I should have the wiring finished up
Then a bit of exhaust work to do to clear the steering rack, make the engine mount, and hook everything up

More wiring work.... i'm probably about 90% done with wiring
Did I mention I hate wiring
And all these wires, i need to run to the computer, they are for the front 3 coils, TPS, IAC, cam positioning sensor, front 02's etc.

Wiring harness is now in the Protege, just need to connect power the 5-6 wires that need it, get the KJ back in the engine bay, and i'll be trying to fire it up, hopefully tomorrow night
