Also, restricting the exhaust and adding pressure is a really bad plan. You'll increase cylinder temps and pressure without gaining much. It's a really good way to burn your piston tops away.
Remember, boost doesn't make HP without flow.
Also, water meth injection will help the turbo spool quicker if you set it up correctly.
How do i set it up correctly? All i know to do is hook it up and set it to like 8psi or something. I have the smallest nozzle that they sold.

      • Just bring me Lucifer I'll make him all better ^_^

By the way figured out what's wrong with my ecu...diode popped off its post. Need to solder it back together. Might need replaced. Might still be bad even after that. But it's obvious.

Do you have a controller or just a switch? If you have a controller you can have it spray at 5 or 6 psi, and ramp it up to max boost.

              • If you have any boost leaks it will seem super laggy. You can change how the turbo spools with Ecu timing.

                      • Lucifer needs new tires again! This time around i think ill try the 185/55/14 595 federal tires. They say they are a 260AA tire. No clue how long they will last tho. Guess we will find out.

                        Near future plans for Lucifer:
                        1. Finish installing the water meth kit.
                        2. Figure out something to help the exhaust! go back to normal exhaust or make the fender exit work.
                        3. remove rear seat supports.
                        4. install Corbeau seats.
                        5. make flat cards for rear panels
                        6. install rear shims.
                        7. set ride height/preload
                        7. set camber and toe in front.
                        8. make harness bar.

                        the list goes on!

                        • I am looking for ideas on how to get my car to run better.

I am thinking that timing may be an issue for me right now. I am going to be checking for boost leaks and the such and trying to get my diverter valve hooked up this weekend. I hope that will aid my spool up times. Also i will place an order for a new psi switch so i can finish my water meth kit. That again will help my spool times every so slightly (i hope).

Britstiva will get a bigger motor. Lucifer will at some point get a garret gt2554. this car is meant for autocross so it needs to stay light and quick to spool. I took a chance on this turbo to get my by for now! The plan was always to have a propper mani built for me and to run a good turbo. I wanted it back on the road asap so i went cheap.

                              • The diverter should make the most noticeable difference. Also, did you fix the idle valve routing?
