I will most likely remake mount next weekend. I am picking up a new truck in the morning and already booked to trailer 4 cars this weekend.

      • I looked at the car last night. The only thing i will have to do is cut the hole that one charge pipe goes through. The rest of it can move no problem.

True, but that's an easy fix. The draw back would be the unequal track width from centerline, but I'm not sure how that would affect handling if at all.

          • I will remake the mounts for the motor next weekend. That should cure most of my issues. Move the motor .5 inch over to the driver side! Remake the mounts all around! Should make for a fun weekend!

            • No more shaky motor at take off. No axle bind when turning. maybe better grip. Maybe less torque steer in the higher psi levels. I have to do it!

              • Went to a nice car show this weekend. 100 cars or so out there. Lots of turboed stuff. Overkill was a crowd favorite for sure. Lots of people that didnt think it was what i was saying it was until i showed a few. Several lined up a few took the bait the rest ran scared! It was fun for sure.

Then when i got home i put in the festiva store bushing and wow what an upgrade. I love them. they went in rather easy (vise made short work of them). car feels way tighter. Feels like a heavy car when hitting bumps now. I love it.

I also got the rear ties that cam on the car off the back. I put my cheap but matching tires on and she is smooth now on the highway! Very light torque steer is left. I can full on race with a 2nd gear roll and not fear hitting the other guy.

We did run the car up to 170mph (thats just what the guy in the mazda speed showed on his dash. I let out as i passed him he let out when he saw me pass at 170 as per his speed o!!!!!

Carlos is going to give me a new map tonight. Im running very lean right now.

                • Be careful about what tires you use for this kind of speed. At 170mph, your wheels are spinning at roughly 2700rpm. This exerts an extreme amount of force on the tires carcass due to centrifugal force. Also, the tires can break down due to internal friction.
A tire exploding at 170mph is not pretty. It will literally tear throgh sheet metal like a knife through butter. I would only even think about hitting that kind of speed with quality tires that were in new condition.
Please take care of yourself, and consider the risks before letting your adrenilin get the best of you. It's easy to feel comfortable at insane speeds with the car set up properly, but this setup doesn't offer protection for when the unthinkable happens.
There is a certain responsibility that one must have when they are behind the wheel of a supercar. Most cars that can perform like this come at such a great price, that people are cautious with them due to fear of breaking a half million dollar car. The Festive offers that kind of performance at a price that is disposable, bit you are not disposable. Neither are the other motorists you share the road with. Enjoy your car, but please use your head. This is a supercar, the setup has been tested and compared to nearly every brand of exotic performance car. Unlike most supercars though, the Festiva is deceiving. It feels like it's going much much slower than you are actually going. Always keep that in mind. The stock 5th gear in the G15 tranny was made for serious business. Even 200hp will make 500hp sports cars dissapear in the rear view. I can't even fathom 300hp fifth gear pulls in one of these cars.

Driving for me is neither a right nor a privilege. Driving is my passion, as it was for the people who invented the automobile, the people who paved the first roads and the people who continue to improve the automobile. Please respect this passion.

understood! I didnt know my tires were taking such a beating. The very 1st time someone saw me pull they all pointed at the tires as their jaw dropped. When we stopped the topic was how much the tires raised and shrank. I had no clue that much force was being put on them. I guess i need to swap to some real tires asap. I wonder what the federal 595 is rated for?

It looks like any of the 595's that would fit our cars are H or V rated so 139-149mph. Same as the Achilles.

                        • Actually, he needs a Y... Like Y would you take an unprepared festy over 130!?!

Anywho, any Z rated tire should do the trick.

Also did some quick math: at the speeds he's talking about, the engine was over 7k in 5th gear... Not a good thing.

                              • Agreed, I have see these gears sheared off. But if you are going to eat a gear that is one that might not hurt the interior of the tranny. I had GTX awd tranny that blew the fifth set and no damage to the primary or secondary shafts. Crazy.
