now that the weather is crap, im doing some bench resto on little things. these GTX wipers are RHD so i'm lucky they were in decent shape. just faded and some wear spots. after disassembly and clean, 2 shots of Eastwood primer and 2 coats of Eastwood Underhood Black. springs and link Gloss Black. this is the best paint for small items. dries super smooth like powdercoat and perfect sheen.

I got around to replacing my dead festy dome light with an 89 escort dome light. Perfect fit, using the same two screws and no need to cut the headliner. I'm jazzed!

had to put 12" dork wheels on the GTX for state inspection. the 13" bridgestone "Playz" aren't DOT stamped. at least they cleaned up nice but soon as i get that sticker, the performance meats go back on.

Pulled the old rotors and bearings off of my little brothers car and then cleaned and painted all of the parts. Have to wait a couple more days for some more parts to show up so I can put it back together. Need to hurry up and get his car out of the garage so I can get mine back in and install the new rear coilovers.

Put the new MC in no more double tapping! The 97 abs mc wouldn't work of course. Now to change the wheel bearing.

I got the parts in to build my Rear Coilovers, now I just have to find some time between work and stupid Psychology homework to actually work on the cars.

Took off the TPS, the dash pot and the throttle cable and spring and soaked it in GUNK carburetor/parts cleaner (the three quart size in a metal bucket with the little basket inside). Then use a solder paste brush to brush off the areas that didn't just soak off. After that, I lightly sanded using 1200 grit wet/dry sandpaper on the stained places that had not come out bright already. (You can a big pack of those metal handle and horse hair paste brushes at harbor freight tools really cheap.)
