well i figured out today you can repair a speedo cable one handed, you can change a starter one handed, you can prep and paint a valve cover one handed, but still working on how to rebuild an engine single handedly. no pun intended.

Are we posting weights now?
I'm ~140.
Today I changed oil and filter.
Inspected front suspension. Weird noises from all over but nothing appears worn and there was no play. My CV boots are torn all the way through and the joints were nasty, though. That would explain the popping/clunking/etc on turns.
Replaced the shifter bushings at the transmission end:
Shifter linkage
The bushings on the riveted part are missing.
Drilled out rivet
I ovaled out the bracket a bit but it turned out to be useful for the new bolt.
This was the closest bolt I could fine. Its a 10mm.
It's long, but does not have any clearance issues. I can go through all the gears with not problems.
Reinstalled.
My shifter still has a bit of play but you can't pull it back to neutral while remaining in gear.

Nice! You must be a pretty big guy.
I was about 180lb when I made the "pick up the festiva rear " video
Closer 195 when I made the "festiva flip" Video.

won $10 by picking the back end up by myself. They overestimated the weight of the back of the car! lol

Finally got around to putting in the Escort map light in Chuck, and the radio bezel. Then I decided to pull and change the dimmer switch since I had no lights at all on the dash or a/c controls. Turns out I ripped one of the wires while removing some unnecessary excess wiring someone had put under the dash at some point. Spliced it and my dash lights are back in business

- fixed (steel epoxy) a small leak on my fuel tank, drain and patch only
- cleaned the the oil leak on the valve cover then tightened the bolts a bit, valve cover gasket is still good, I hope the leak stops

Blacked out stock 12" steelies, replaced blown 12" sub. My buddies always clowning and my sub is the same size as my rims LOL. Gonna black out faded greyish green bumpers.

^ I don't get it?
Today I installed a voltmeter. I have a habit of drawing current with the engine off for long periods of time. Haven't completely killed my battery yet as there is still enough cranking power when the radio shuts off, but it may happen eventually.
My blind friend used a Dremel to cut the bezel
Wires are connected to the radio harness.
