Cleaned and replaced the fusible links with the cartridge fuses with lots of dielectric grease on the terminals. Now the car cranks and starts right up, no more intermittent click, click, click.

Today=past week..
Dome light upgrade = check
Stock radio plug and radio in = check (Farmstiva had never had one since I bought 'er
Beginning of paint job = check. (rear spoiler painted, door handles and rear wiper done.
Upcoming weekend, I hope to finish the paint job (painting Farmstiva green with yellow highlights to make 'er look like a John Deere product, instead of the red it is now). Also, want to install the read cargo light and run power to it.. just need to find another door switch I guess. Local wreckers has had a real Festiva famine though over the last few months. Glad on one side, not so glad when it comes to finding parts though..Carz:
'09 Ford F-150
'80 Chrysler LeBaron Town and Country
'80 Volvo 240 2dr coupe
'93 Festiva GL
225996.9 kilometers = 140428.0 miles on the odometer
...and definitely more soon..

^^^ I hear ya on the famine. I havent seen a festy or an aspire in a yard in several months. Good thing the kia rio has arguably taken over the place of several components I still need.
Saturday I used my $10 off autozone coupon and bought the timing belt and water pump i should have installed before i dropped in the engine. Will have that done this week we hope.Last edited by getnpsi; 08-23-2011, 02:22 PM.1993 GL 5 speed

Bought and replaced the passenger side LCA, and replaced the lca/sway bar bushings with moog k9737 polyurethanes.
Took off the rear tire, and added the piece to my e-brake, but when i went to put the spindle nut back on it wouldn't go!?!? so i cleaned it and looked, the damn thing is cross threaded?!? the spindle threads look fine tho?
Tomorrow I hafta get a new spindle nut but i don't know what thread size to get?!
I took my cone filter and intake piping off and got an idea of how i want to run the new piping i'm going to run tomorrow, i bought some corrogated board "election sign" stuff today for 4.50$ and i'm going to make a box with it to house the cone filter after i run new intake pipes.
Tomorrow's gonna be fun, just hope it's as productive as today!
O, and i'm supposed to get the title to that dang mazda tomorrow! my sister finally got the paperwork the DMV needs to get it switched.
Also, debating on buying a RPM and Vacuum gauge to install as a mid-week project...just not sure which ones I need yet.Last edited by zoom zoom; 08-23-2011, 09:23 PM.2008 Kia Rio- new beater

^^ Passenger spindle nut is reverse threaded
I've heard, instead of getting a new spindle nut people take a castle nut and drill a small hole through the spindle and put a cotter pin on. I forget the size of the nut but someone will chime in I assumeLast edited by Charlie1717; 08-23-2011, 10:00 PM.-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
