Take the clips off and slide the axles in. If they go in there is no problem with the tranny but a problem with the clip and/or installation. If the axle doesn't go in still, there is a problem with the tranny. The Festiva Store

(And should see two sets of splined side gears for both axles. It doesnt matter if its a E,F or G series. They are all going to have similar side gears with thrust washers.Last edited by nitrofarm; 01-20-2012, 08:45 AM.Some people like to read fiction,I prefer to read repair manuals. Weird I know-

I have never had the gears move on me even with trannies that have had the axles removed and been stored for awhile and moved around alot. I have seen damaged splines on axles though, people getting too aggressive with a hammer and trying to force things. The Festiva Store

If the clips buggered up the splines they are easy to file. If you have
the F transmission the gears should not slip like they can on the festy
transmission. If you have messed up splines the clips are too. May
need new ones. The gears are harder spline material and will not
be messed up as easy as the shaft can get messed up. Even a dremel
tool can fix bad spline spots.Reflex paint by Langeman...Lifted...Tow Rig

So, is that it? If it is, what do I do next? If it is not, what is it then?... As I said, panic mode hereIm not driving a Festiva because I'm poor. I drive a Festiva because i want to!
