I just ended up using some epoxy call "red epoxy". It's rated at a constant 300f and 350 bursts. Said it was great with aluminum, and it's alcohol resistant. The stuff has to be heat cured, so I threw it in the oven at 320 for 20 minutes and good to go. I'll be doing some test fitting in the engine bay tonight

For anyone curious. Fir whatever reason you'd try it, the festiva and aspire lower to upper intake manifold spacing isn't the same. So you can't put an aspire upper on a festiva lower. Good thing I made this for the aspire lower. Because I planned on running the aspire lower manifold. It's a lot cleaner piece, no iac clutter.

Are those hole plugs? The brass looking things? And this is 100% epoxyed together? I know the velocity inlet plate to runners is an interference fit, but I mean the plenum. No worries about it not holding?

It's very firm. I did some really unique prep to both mating surfaces with a thread tap, lol. I made the surfaces very texturous, so there would be tons of places for epoxy to grab on to. The brass parts are a bolt, more or less, because there is the visual end cap, and an internal end cap, like this throttle side I haven't installed yet, I had to have a good way to mount the pieces together and hold them firmly for cutting out that throttle opening, and alignment. You can see from that picture that I filled the holes with epoxy, so there wouldn't be an leakage through the screw threads. It's all a crude way of making this manifold work because I don't have access to aluminum tig welding, and I wanted to see if it could be done with epoxy.

So all mating surfaces have a 90 degree angle made from two quarter inch surfaces. The epoxy used is rated at 3000 some pounds of shear strength. So ill just hope it turns out fine.

It'll all be done tonight. And hopefully painted. I'm going to paint my valve cover because I ordered a new gasket for it. Should I stick with my anodized purple look, or maybe anodized red, or something really out there? Stencil festiva into it?
