The exhaust is going right out of the fender again! It will only be 2 short elbows and about 1.5 foot of straight pipe.

I might add in one vband clamp. It would make getting the pipe in and out much easier. If i make a flex section i would make to make a mount.

      • Well i have a giant hole in the fender. This time im making the pipe. Gonna try my best to make it look good to. I had the welders at work give me some pointers. Im gonna grab some .023 wire tonight. I picked up some tip gel last night. I will have to get some .023 tips as well.

Last night i played with some scrap pipe i had laying around. I was easily able to weld it together. The pipe was not cut very good so i think i did ok with what i was working with. Im going to have my exhaust shop give me some scrap pipe tonight. I will stick a few of them together before i go messing up my good stuff.

Why not run full exhaust? Or at least exhaust under the car? Tooo cool for school? What is it? I've been given an exhaust ticket before don't need another. And I was only running open downpipe under the car.

Holes in fenders r easy to fix. Buy a new fender.

          • Your .035 welder isn't going to push. 023 without a different roller and I've never seen flux core that small not that they dont make it ..I run .030 my roller has 2 sides grouved .030 for flux and .025 smooth for solid wire.

I just like the fender exit! This car is flashy and meant to get peoples attention! The fender exit does just that. It gets people asking questions. I dont mind to chat about cars to people its fun. I could very easly tie into the exhaust thats already there. Thats no fun tho. If i cant control boost creep again with the new exhaust ill ditch it and go to a full exhaust. Im trying to avoid that tho. Not because its to hard but because i want to save that as my last option.

I will have to see if i can find a new roller as well then. If not ill stick to the .035 and just go really slow and stitch small.

So true! I didnt get to pick tho. I like the fender exit. Its not an everyday thing. I have seen several hood exit cars out there. I have not actually seen a fender exit on the street yet. Im sure ill see 2 today now!!!

In a few minutes ill pick up my pipe. Im not sure how big the bend radius is tho. I might have to cut it in small 20° sections and weld each together to get a tight bend. Or ill have to cut the bend off at an angle and beat the ends back into a circle.

I like how tight your bend is and ill need to do about the same deal.

                        • the wife has given me the clear to get a new harbor freight welder. I am going to get their biggest 220v 180 amp welder they have (mig). I know its not as good as what you guys want me to have but i have several others say they have had luck with them. Just comes with bad wire.

ANyway they have a good sale and i have a couple small gift cards. Ill get it for a bit under 200$ so thats fine with me.

Im gonna have to cut my pipe into small sections and weld them together. The bends are like 6-8" radius. I need super small bends. Looks like tonight will be plenty of fun.

Why control boost creep with exhaust back pressure when you can get a after market waste gate and have it run to atmosphere youll probably have better spool times and it'll spit flames on deceleration both wins

Boost creep shouldn't be a problem with his new turbo. the turbine flows a lot more air, and the integrated wastegate is much bigger than the VJ 11 or 14 turbos.
