In the last week, I finished my Aspire rear beam swap, Modded the Cluster (instrument panel) lights, Repainted the back plastic, Cleaned it up.

Washed it...but those darn inch worms and little black dots of live oak pollen just keep raining on it... Starts every year just as the Azaleas reach their peak. I'll be glad when April is over here in Charleston.

Oh yes, and I also created festivacentral.blogspot.com under pseudonym Mills Inman today.

washed mine up to remove the pine pollen, replaced a coil, disty cap and rotor that was tracing between 1 and 4 for some strange reason, and went to set the timing on my motor I just set in and found out who ever worked on it previously must have got the timing off a tooth. I couldn't even get the marks close to the indicator with the disty cranked as hard as it would go. So tomorrow it get's a belt and tensioner and set correctly.

lined the engine up with the transmission input shaft and started to bolt things together.... more progress soon I hope

Found out my gas tank is slowly leaking at the seam. Guess I'm picking one up from the junkyard tomorrow from a 2 door Aspire. Maybe I'll pick up a few Escort wiper gears and some more mercury switches to put together hatch light switches for sale here

I picked up a rear washer bottle and also aquired a front tow hitch so that I can tow my grandfather's festiva to the garage.

It almost looks like a copy of the one I believe that Dean (fordfestiva.com's true patriot) took a pic of.

Just got back from 2 jy's. No Festys, 1 Aspire. No Geo Metros or any other (323, etc.) with 13" wheels that fit with no mods.:sad7::sad2: So I actully did nada on my festy today.
