It all works good. You could probably run ANYTHING but gl-5 transmission oil in a festy transmission and it will run just fine. Lol

I've even heard of people on here using Mobil 1 European synthetic motor oil. I forget the actual weight.

Pennzoil synchromesh is really good too, it's what I run. meant for manual transmissions and is the same viscosity as ATF. Lots of people here have had good luck with the stuff.

Kia Rio swap is 100% done, I couldn't get away with using the Festiva tie rods, so I got some pretty looking Escort tie rods on there, and got a $80 alignment for $40. [emoji14]

I picked this up after work. Nice.
I can't wait to turn the screws out on my twins.
Guess what I will be doing tomorrow now that I passed emissions testing.

Washed car cover at the laundromat. Removed third brake light. Installed a standard rubber hatch plug in it's place. Installed a set of new tires. Even though they are supposed to be the same size, they are larger. Now I need some longer or stiffer struts in the front so it doesn't rub when hitting a big bump at speed. Modified headers are ready for pickup tomorrow.

    Finished with the Rio Swap.

Have some slotted rotors, and a set of brake pads on their way to replace the junkyard parts.

finished the Rio swap on the driver's side. Will do the passenger side later, I am sweating balls outside as it is with no shade.

For the hell of it I took it around the block and nearly lost my wheel because I forgot to tighten the lugs down. Luckily I was able to locate the ones that fell off only about 50 feet behind where I stopped.

I bled the brake caliper, but the pedal goes almost to the floor before it starts to stop the car, is this normal without a bigger master cylinder?

Also I wish someone would have mentioned the Rio knuckles would throw off the steering geometry and I would need to get an alignment. :/
