- Sent an e-mail to the guy that's going to paint my 88L and asked him about frame-straightening shops here in my town.
- Mailed a check for a 5-spd transmission (mine's only a 4-spd).
- Sent some e-mails/did some e-Bay searching for some tan interior parts I need.
- Looked at some pix I saved/options of wheels I'm considering buying (gonna do it, just need to decide on which ones)
- Dreamed about how nice it's gonna be to have new paint and new shoes on my trusty steed.....88L - 'Twistiva' - 'The Fusion of Man and Machine'
88LX - 'Laztiza' - Future Resurrection Project
91L - 'Mistiva' - My Daughter's DD
93L - 'Vextiva' - Airport Car

Re: What have you done to your Festiva today!?
Got the Lx running last night swapped in a spare fuel pump and cleaned up the fusible link contacts. This is one of the nastier motors I've seen. I pulled the valve cover and it's completely black inside. Might have a blown gasket too.

Brake cylinder is still leaking......Why, I have no damn clue, I put all new parts on it.
Will look into it later, but put a new v-belt on, yay no more annoying squeak. All it cost me was the crap battery that came with the car.Last edited by TorqueEffect; 12-05-2012, 12:00 PM.1991 Ford Festiva BP (Full Aspire/Rio Swap) (337k Miles) (Around 95k Engine)

bebandit, what happened to your pedal pads?
Don't your shoes slide off the steel when they're wet?
I have a set of pads for $5 + USPS shipping at cost the next time I go to Lewiston, NY.Last edited by bravekozak; 12-05-2012, 03:09 PM.

This one shows clearance between the wiper switch arm and the steering wheel.
The install kit is Grant number 3597. Designed for Ford Probe.
One of the best mods I've done. ( that I can reveal)Last edited by Team Lightning; 12-05-2012, 03:17 PM.Jerry

Heater core replacement.
Started on my heater core replacement today. I've be a few years without cabin heat. In all fairness it went pretty well so far. I just followed the manual. And, I was happy to find the car would still run with all this stuff missing. I was able to return it to its kennel. The dash is removed and I'm down to where I can get at the heater box tomorrow. There were a lot of bolts and screws, clips, and connectors. I have to admire you guys who do extensive work and complete bare bones restorations.

some left over fluid that didn't get completely cleaned out of the drum. Walked out this morning and it was bone dry.1991 Ford Festiva BP (Full Aspire/Rio Swap) (337k Miles) (Around 95k Engine)
