  • Picked up my cometic head gasket and arp head studs! Plan to install them immediately after work, so maybe I won't be scared to push it past 5 psi without popping another felpro head gasket. 14 psi b6 sohc here I come!
Im not driving a Festiva because I'm poor. I drive a Festiva because i want to!

    • wasnt on my festiva but i did dig into my contour headlights and fix them up. one was holding about a half gallon of water in it so i pulled it apart. while it was opened up i also painted the middle section to tone down the massive amount of chrome on the front end of this otherwise black car. looks 10x better now imo.

      stock side:

      buffed/painted side:

      and the side by side:

spent about 2 hours buffing the plastic cover alone. i highly recommend Meguirs PlastX for polishing these things, it worked amazingly well. I used a drill with a foam buffind pad on the end to do all the hard work.

not really, id actually already gone over them with a 3M kit that didnt give the results i had wanted.

im just one of those "do it once, do it right" kinda guys. i always overkill

            thanks paul ;D

again though, i HIGHLY recommend this PlastX stuff Meguiars makes. Other junk ive used kinda did the job but thist stuff blew me away with how well it worked. Ill be doing my other headlight either tomorrow or this weekend when ive got a little more time (the whole disassembly, baking, painting and resealing process took a total of about 6 hours including cleaning all the old glue out of the channels for the clear plastic to sit in).

Take the time though and do it right and itll always look better

At that point i could take no more time, it had to be done ASAP to get it out of their garage

I did however reroute it to the right location when i installed the GTR intake manifold!

                  • I did my truck headlights on Sunday. I use 2500 grit sandpaper wet and a buffer with a wool wheel with 3m cutting compound takes about 3 min per headlight and looks new when done. Only recommended for plastic headlights not Festiva's.
