picked this up at the post office today, installed, and almost instantly realized how annoying it is to hit the wiper and turn stalks every time i turn the wheel.

...so i ordered a 1.2" spacer that should be here next week

    Thanks
BTW it took so long because I was planning to shave the locks and install a power door/alarm set or maybe replace it with a home made patch panel. I'm really glad I was able to save that door...

This 88k mile honey is near ready for Madness hopefully if I can get time off work and all put together by then. Its tough when you're working alot. Bought the B1 graphite paint today along with the clear and also have a paint booth rented and ready to go when i get the time to do it, hopefully withing the next two weeks. Plan on puttin on Ernst's side skirts and front lip.....also going to have decals made by my brother to apply to the lower skirts....saaaawwwwweeeeeeet!

    You are right.

I bought a few things. The silicone 3 inch to 2 1/2 inch adapter is fine.

The main problems are with the flex tube, and more, with the coupler that goes from an elbow to another plastic piece. Gobs and gobs and gobs of silicone, electrical tape, and (dagnabbit) duct tape, and it actually sealed up. The injection molding is NOT uniform, so the Orings do not always fit.

The flex tube cracks and develops leaks, when it is supposed to be able to flex. I am not talking about sections near the exhaust either. It just....cracked.

Everything else on the swap went like a dream, until the loss of spark, and the battle with the Spectre....JUNK!

I haven't even gotten back to it, I will tackle it after work tomorrow night. I needed a day to work, and just....AHHHHHHH!

Edit. I almost forgot to mention the grommets for the vacuum lines! They worked until the engine bay warmed up, and then cooled. What had been tight, became so loose that the IAC hose just slid right out.

Put my new pistons together and put some new valve seals in my head. Should be able to start assembling my b8 tomorrow so I can be ready for madness.

went through all the wiring: cleaned, filed, brushed, repaired and sprayed... worst spot I found was the parking lamp relay connection. It was corroded so bad that I had to replace one of the prongs. My plate lights are working now, and they never did when I bought it lol. dome light doesn't flicker any more either

Got rid of my last festiva, sold the running driving one to guy local and dropped the parts car off at a friends house so he can start the process of swapping motors. I will be assisting him, but it does feel good to have them gone less stuff to mow around and weave around in the crew cab.

This B6 swap has been a pain with the intake .

Looking like the CPS in the dizzy though, will know more tonight after work.

Oh! Don't buy that spectre junk for air intake. The only thing that worked was the three inch to two 1/2 inch adapter.

I used a b8me intake on the b8 and we used a 2.3 mustang intake on the new b6 the less metal in engine bay the better. Plastic fantastic and the mustang resonator has a huge ford logo on it. Kind of sleeper effect even the its obvious it came from something else

Yesterday delivered yet another of my fleet to its new owner... came home in Keith's white car by way of AreaFesty1 to pick up a wiring harness and hang out with DriverOne and an exhausted BeBandit for a bit. Down to one festy now, but at least Green Car got driven today for the first time in a couple of weeks. I look at it this way, now that I only have one, I don't even have to choose one over another to drive to work in the morning lol. Today I'll be doing some light duty work on Keith's car before getting back to work on the nitty-gritty of finishing the wiring and installing the BP/G in his other one.
