There were a lot of bolts and screws, clips, and connectors. I have to admire you guys who do extensive work and complete bare bones restorations.

Don't your shoes slide off the steel when they're wet?

I have a set of pads for $5 + USPS shipping at cost the next time I go to Lewiston, NY.
Thanks but I got some custom ideas in the works.

This one shows clearance between the wiper switch arm and the steering wheel.

The install kit is Grant number 3597. Designed for Ford Probe.
One of the best mods I've done. ( that I can reveal)

Brake cylinder is still leaking......Why, I have no damn clue, I put all new parts on it.

Will look into it later, but put a new v-belt on, yay no more annoying squeak. All it cost me was the crap battery that came with the car.

Got the Lx running last night swapped in a spare fuel pump and cleaned up the fusible link contacts. This is one of the nastier motors I've seen. I pulled the valve cover and it's completely black inside. Might have a blown gasket too.

    - Sent an e-mail to the guy that's going to paint my 88L and asked him about frame-straightening shops here in my town.

    - Mailed a check for a 5-spd transmission (mine's only a 4-spd).

    - Sent some e-mails/did some e-Bay searching for some tan interior parts I need.

    - Looked at some pix I saved/options of wheels I'm considering buying (gonna do it, just need to decide on which ones)

    - Dreamed about how nice it's gonna be to have new paint and new shoes on my trusty steed.....

Fixed the brake cylinder with parts from the new cylinder.

The bolt on the brake line was rounded off, and was too rusted to twist the cylinder itself off without breaking the brake line, so I just took the rubber seals, pistons and spring and put it in the old cylinder. It started downpouring rain halfway through, not very pleasant.

Now I don't have to top up my brake fluid every week.
Well, actually will have to wait until the rain dries up outside and see if a puddle still forms overnight.

I did get some grease on the shoes when assembling, but I was in a hurry because of the rain, will just dismantle it later and use brake cleaner in the drum, I have a different set of shoes off a junkyard car I can stick on there.
