Gabriel rear struts arrived today. $17.00 per side (closeout sale) $40.00 shipped for both sides. These are only temporary as I will upgrade to aspire KYB's as soon as i have the rear beam to go with them.

Ice Racer returns

My last Festiva went off to the wrecker last April, and so I have been Festi free until now. Fixed that, and bought a new race car! This one has a BP and stock tranny, so will have to change some of that.

Took the transmission apart to discover that the 3-4 synchros and bearings were shot.

When I pulled the engine I also discovered that the rear transmission mount is broken.

That's where I got mine, too. They have two sizes. One is $17 and one is $14 here in SC. They're in the lighting and accessories aisle. I'm going to measure to see if my hatch light will accept the smaller one. I used the larger of the two for my dome light.

I ordered from ebay, two kind:

I got one on ebay for $5-7 w/ shipping.
Just search for the bulb size and LED. You'll have to browse through pages to find a panel one like that. Mine has a spring loaded "festoon style" connector with wires that connect to the LED board.

I have a smaller one stuck in at an angle in the cargo light.

Not sure about Driver one but mine came from autozone.
