Yeah those would look sweet! Although I have never enjoyed the gold on blue look.....I would love to try the black though, I think it would make the tinting pop more too.......
As for the gas savings, I will have to look that up. I know the moon caps (or pie plate caps) are the best, but I think you may be correct with these working too.....
I agree with you on the black too. I hadn't thought about matching the tint! Whenever you can lighten your rotating mass, you gain fuel mileage and braking capability. The mesh design gives an almost honeycomb strength in all directions when acted on by opposing forces. Because of this, often times there is actually less metal being used, and so lightens the wheel. BBS wheels are expensive, but are well known for their mesh design. I have something similar on my car as well. Gaining image is a major plus, but if you can actually lighten your wheel and tire package (choose lighter tires with good tread life) beyond the OEM weight of the stock wheels and tires while maintaining the stock tire diameter, that's the main goal.

I like the mesh wheels. I hope I haven't said something wrong, it just looks like the wheels are confused.
I wouldn't change the size. Meshies may actually help your MPG's...
Haha, no you havent said anything wrong, lol.....I dont enjoy the wheels that are on there either! I will have to google a mesh wheel, as I have no idea what that means, lol.......Thanks for the suggestion
EDIT ---- I now see that the ones I had on my previous echo were considered mesh wheels, hahahahhahaha. I did like those ones a lot! I wonder if I went with a 15" mesh wheel if I would gain MPG? I LOVE TO GAIN MPG! lol

I wouldn't want to go with anything bigger. On my last Echo Hatchback, I had 17" tires with EXTREMELY low profile tires, and it reduced my gas mileage by over 10% . This is due to the additional rolling resistance as the weight is further away from the center of the wheel. (Inertia and all that, lol) Take a look at the graph on this fuelly page for my old Echo ---> http://www.fuelly.com/driver/darlo/echo It is really cool that I saw an overnight difference of +6mpg!

Here is an image of the wheels I had on the other echo, but my tires were much smaller.....http://img388.imageshack.us/img388/3968/corewhlsqf5.jpg

Finished blacking out the engine bay and underside of the hood. Put rear bumper and tail lights back in. Now for the door sills and gas cap tomorrow. So tired of sanding, cleaning, prepping, priming, and painting.
