    Not today, but this week:
I repaired my skip plate and made up some beefier rear mounts, also added two additional front brackets.
I scored an aluminum rear bumper beam from a 2012 x3 that I modified to replace my factory steel front beam.
Also put my summer wheels/tires back on.

Got to cleaning on the b6t head today. Thanks to Zanzer for the heads up on dawn power dissolver and to iceracerdude for turning Zanzer on to it.
The first pic is just cleaning one section with super clean. I should not have used it on aluminum. But it did not appear to have stained it. The second pic is about 3/4 of a bottle of the dawn power dissolver sprayed everywhere. I will hose it off tomorrow and see how it did!

Got started on my trailer yesterday! Its is a beast, can easily haul 1500# of gravel or whatever behind the van. But that wood box is pretty hefty. It only bolts on with four big bolts though, so I think I'm taking it off and building a mesh floor flatbed, but I will be building it so that the box can be reattached with hitch pins if I need to haul anything serious with it. That way it will be super light behind the festiva hauling parts or the mower, but I still have the functionality of a heavy box when I need it, just have to use the van to do it!

Also filled up FestEvil last night, 39.1mpg, keeps getting better! And that was pizza driving too I have a feeling we may hit 45 on the highway on the longer leg of our vacation

^ No problem at all Paul! It's nice to stop in during the long road trip to NC and hang out with fellow Festy lovers. Thanks to you and your Dad for being such great hosts and for the awesome sub! I have a new favorite!

You're a lucky guy Paul. I wish I could find junkyard motors with brand new crankshafts and pristine water jackets like that

How's that stuck ring treating you after I left? LOL

Painted the drivers door today, turned out better than i thought. Sanded most of the hood, driving without it right now, should paint it very soon and need to scuff my replacement fender and maybe bumper cover. then need to paint the roof. It should be the same color soon though.

Picked up two beauty rings at the junkyard.
The Festiva I found was red... repainted purple...
I'll never find a red hood, haha.

The car was a 91 GL auto. Had bronze wheels. Looked good with the beauty rings.

I straightened my hood a bit but found out the hinges are bent.
