Installed the horn from a Crown Vic / Grand Marquis. Tons better than the stock one. Good bye bicycle horn!

I removed the rack and pinion (lasted 250,000 miles) from JunkYard Save and mailed it off to be rebuilt. Was not that hard to remove but I sure dread the job of putting it back in. (I did not remove the steering column and I hope I can get it back it without removing it.)

    The black does look good!

The front struts were so rusty they fell out when I jacked up the front end, the upper mounts are gone. The struts were blown out, the back ones were welded where they broke the bolts off. The rear beam was even rusty, I did manage to save a nice ebrake cable. The front knuckles are rusty and the dust shields have fallen off, bearings and rotors were toast. the heads for the rotors are round. I didn't leave anyone anything worth a thing on that car. I may pull the rear adjusters for someone here that needed one and the front calipers for cores tomorrow morning.

Finished stripping today, I took a day off yesterday because I was sick. But the weather was nice today so I finished it all up and got the engine and trans mounted in the silver 92GL. Not a bad day overall.

It may be an anti-rust coat?

I have a 71 F250 with a reddish primer/undercoating for rust prevention that is visible in places the paint has worn off.
