What have you done to your Festiva today!?

If you have, to just pull it out and lube it up with some bearing grease, got rid of the bouncing on mine.

Pull the whole cable out of the sleeve and lube it up and slide it back in?

Finally got a "new" Speedo cable and installed it this morning. Got a working speedometer now! Though it is bouncing a bit. Hope it keeps working.

Took another whack trying to get the twisted-out-of-place lock-washer out, literally won't even budge.

Since I am going to have to buy another washer anyway, maybe I could carefully drill through the tab on the washer without damaging the bearing behind it or threads on the spindle.

Big thanks to Casey! (CWAY1319) for the hook up! After installing it and driving around though, I almost am missing the "no mirror" look...

I hope to get a mirror for that side sometime, annoying not having one.

Drove mine halfway across the state, found and installed a $25 VAF from a second gen B6, which took me from 24 MPG on the hway to 34.46!!!! Wooot!

Found 2 emeralds on the same trip at a mine, and lots of other stones, visited the Bakers, and saw the shop they had built. Holy moly Batman, what a monstrosity!

Also turns out I missed seeing NeanderPaul there by a day

its an aftermarket crx bumper that was narrowed and then the signals were filled in....

I ordered a couple new skins... 195/45/15... they are hard to find up here in the stix... And then the guy asks me if I am driving the car in the winter.... So I told him no they are for a custom festiva that I only drive in the summer... I don't think he believed me though....

Might be easier to just do what I did on a recent repair. Find an entire assembly (Drum, back plate, spindle, everything) at a "You pull it". I got mine for $20. It's basically pull the brake line, undo the ebrake, 4 X 14mm nuts and you are off to the races!

Too bad the nearest "you pull it" type place with a Festiva is all the way in Indianapolis, and all the local junkyards around here want $50+ for the entire assembly and I just don't trust any of those yards.

Can't replace the rear cylinder, because my brother decided after he put my bearings in to use the old mangled spindle nut washer that twisted out of place the last time, and guess what?

It twisted out of the groove on the spindle and is stuck on the threads AGAIN. If it comes down to it I might have to cut the brake line and plug it, because there is no way to get the drum off without me destroying another spindle.

HOLY CRAP NVM IT JUST STARTED UP!!! it was a ground wire, the one i burned... Apparently i had it hooked to a different area. Perryville farm and forest rally here we come!

Checked all the Fuses and Fusible links, also replaced the ignition coil. Still nothing. We've gone through about everything, we are still trying to find one of the relays that are outlined in the manuals, found 1/2 but i never touched them, all started when I ran a ground to hot, so we're just gonna keep checking it.
